Job Description

Job Objective:
Number of websites/web applications are being managed by the organization. It is expected from the Content Writer to prepare the digital content for websites, social media, IT Newsletters etc, design communication plan for the organization. Work closely with management, PRO's of other government departments to update the digital content.

Roles & Responsibility:

  • Core content writing for government websites (Web & Mobile) including web and mobile applications.
  • Preparation and implementation of the communication strategies for the Department / Organization to lead various activities under IEC (Information, Education and Communication).
  • Write and manage content on official social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook.
  • Editing of IT Newsletter, blogs and news articles, eBooks etc.
  • Responsible for design and implementation of suitable contents that provide incentives to IT Facilities to achieve a positive outcomes of IT efforts by the concerned teams.
  •  Take the lead in development and implementation of IEC strategies for all relevant projects being executed by the organization.
  • • Develop and review IEC/ messages / materials in collaboration with other program staff, counterparts and State Govt departments
  • Content drafting punch lines, landing pages, inner pages.
  • Generating ideas for new content types.
  • Proofreading articles before publication.
  • Coordinate with editorial and design teams to illustrate articles.
  • Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic.
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone).
  • Collect, collate and update website content as needed.
  • Undertake regular documentation of activities including lessons learnt and success stories.

Skill set:

  • Proven work experience as a Content Writer or similar role.
  • IEC/Media Management/ behavioral change communication
  • Familiarity with web publications
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in Hindi and English both the languages Hands-on experience with Web based Content Management Systems
  • Excellent overall writing skills in a number of different styles/tones
  • Script writing for audio/visual media
  • Impeccable spelling and grammar
  • Great research, organizational, and learning skills
  • Familiarity with keyword placement and other Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices.
  • An understanding of formatting articles on the web
  • Capable to summarize detailed documents
